Hemingway Hotel Cuba
The Hemingway Hotel, a 650-room luxury hotel planned in a partnership with China and Cuba, is scheduled to begin construction this fall, reportedly November, at the Marina Hemingway, 9 miles east of Havana. Cost for this major tourist development has been reported to be $150 million. The project is owned 51% by the Cuban government's Cubanacan hotel group and 49% by China's Suntine International-Economic Tradition Company. This is not the first project for the partnership. In December 2009, Gran Meliá Shanghai Hotel opened in China. As details of the hotel, its construction, and photos become available, they will be published here.
